How we write these guides
These pages are free, and they're meant to be the clearest explanation you'll find. Here's who writes them, how we check them, and the lines we won't cross.
Who writes them
The StructureX team: traders with decades of combined experience in stocks and forex, who have also coached other traders in the same method. We write as a team, so pages are signed "the StructureX team".
How we write
- Plain English first. If a word needs a dictionary, we explain it — or we use a simpler one. Trading words people search for (like Pip or Break of structure) are explained the first time they appear.
- One idea at a time. Short lines, real steps, and an exercise you can try today.
- Real mechanics, not opinions. Calculators show their formula. Facts that change — contract sizes, session times, rule changes — carry a date and a link to the primary source where we can (exchanges, the Federal Reserve, the BLS, the SEC, FINRA, the CFTC).
- We use software to help draft and check pages, and every page is reviewed against these standards before it goes live.
What we will never say
- That you'll make money, replace your income, or get rich. Trading involves real risk of loss, and most retail traders lose money.
- That a method, pattern or tool "always works" or predicts the future.
- That you'll pass a prop-firm challenge or get funded.
- What to buy or sell. We teach how to think about a chart, not which trade to take.
Chart pictures on this site are illustrations of an idea, not results.
Why it's free
Because the basics should be free. If these pages help, we also offer a free 4-lesson email course, a free chart tool on TradingView, and a full course for people who want the complete method — but nothing on these pages is held back to make you buy.
